  • Clean the mussels by scrubbing them under cold water and removing any beards or debris. Discard any dead mussels. Remove one side of the mussel shell and keep the other side intact.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant. Add the black bean sauce and sliced red chili pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for 30 seconds to release their flavors. Pour the black bean sauce mixture into a small bowl.
