  • In a large pot, fill it with water, add the lemon slices, sugar and a pinch of salt. Bring the water to a boil.
  • Add the shrimp to the boiling water. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Once cooked, immediately transfer the shrimp to an ice water bath to stop the cooking process. Drain and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • In a bowl, combine the ketchup, horseradish, fresh lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Mix well. Season the sauce with freshly ground black pepper to taste. Adjust the hot sauce if you want it spicier. Cover the cocktail sauce and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
