  • In a bowl, whisk together the orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, red chili flakes, garlic powder, and ground ginger.
  • In a bowl, mix together the cornstarch, flour, white pepper powder and salt.
  • Dredge the chicken pieces in the eggs. Add the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  • Heat the oil in a large frying pan to 375 °C over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken until golden crisp, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  • To a saucepan, add the orange sauce and bring it to a boil, stirring occasionally. Combine 1/2 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and add it to the orange sauce, cook over medium heat until it thickens. Add the fried chicken and toss to coat in the sauce.
  • Garnish with orange zest and sliced green onions, if desired. Serve hot with rice.
