  • Extract the juice from the kimchi into a small bowl. In the small bowl, incorporate Korean red pepper paste and sesame oil, mixing thoroughly.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat, sauté minced garlic for about 10 seconds until fragrant. Add the chopped kimchi to the wok and stir-fry for 1- 2 minutes.
  • Add the ham and cooked rice to the wok and break up any clumps with a spatula. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes to evenly distribute the ingredients. Pour the sauce mixture over the rice and stir well to combine. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions, sesame seeds and seaweed sheets. Top each serving with a fried egg. Serve the Kimchi Fried Rice hot and enjoy!

Notes

You can customize the recipe by adding cooked meat such as chicken, beef, or shrimp for extra protein, or adjust the spice level by adding chili flakes or hot sauce according to your preference.
