  • Start by preheating the waffle maker.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients and make sure they are thoroughly mixed.
  • In another bowl, blend all the wet ingredients until they are fully combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips at this stage.
  • Lightly grease your waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Close the lid and cook until the waffles are crispy and browned.
  • Carefully remove the chocolate waffles from the iron. Place them on a serving plate. Top your chocolate waffles with whipped cream and fresh berries. You can also drizzle them with maple syrup, dust with powdered sugar, or add a scoop of ice cream.
