Grilled sea bass is a delicious seafood dish that brings the taste of the ocean to your dinner table. Sea bass is known for its tender, silky flesh and a subtle, slightly sweet flavor. Beyond its delightful taste, sea bass is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, renowned for their heart-healthy benefits. Sea bass is a low-calorie and low-fat source of protein, making it a wise choice for those aiming to maintain a balanced diet.
Start by ensuring your sea bass filets are cleaned, scaled, and boneless. Rinse them under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
In a small saucepan, heat the butter, garlic, and parsley over medium heat until the butter is fully melted. Once melted, remove it from the heat and keep it aside.
In a small bowl, combine the onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Brush a light layer of the olive oil onto the fish, and then sprinkle the sea bass with the seasoning mixture.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking. Place the filets on the preheated grill, skin side down. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the filets. You'll know they're done when the fish easily flakes with a fork and has a slightly crispy skin.
Carefully remove the grilled sea bass from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter. Spoon a desired amount of butter sauce over each filet. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh herbs if desired.
