Ingredients
  • 8 oz (226g) bean sprouts (washed and drained)
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) sugar
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) chicken bouillon
  • Green onions (chopped for garnish)
  • Marinade:
  • 7 oz (198g) pork loin (thinly shredded)
  • 2 tsp (10ml) soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp (8ml) rice wine
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (0.6g) ground white pepper
  • 2 tsp (7g) cornstarch
  • 1 egg white
Instructions
  1. Marinate the shredded pork with the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork to the wok and stir-fry until the pork is fully cooked and slightly browned. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the bean sprouts to the wok and continue stir-frying for 1 minute. The bean sprouts should be tender-crisp. Add the salt, sugar and chicken bouillon, and stir-fry for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Once the bean sprouts are cooked to your liking, remove the wok from heat. Transfer the stir-fried bean sprouts with shredded pork to a serving dish. Sprinkle chopped green onions over the stir-fry for added freshness and flavor.
