Ingredients
  • 2 (about 2-2.5 pounds / 907-1133 grams) grilled sirloin steaks (refer to the Grilled Sirloin Steak recipe on the same website)
  • 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 8 oz (226g) sliced mushrooms (cremini or button mushrooms work well)
  • 2 tbsp (16g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (240 g) beef broth
  • 1/2 cup (120 grams) heavy cream
  • 1 tsp (5 g) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (0.6g) black pepper
  • Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and turn golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Turn the heat to medium, sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and onions, stirring constantly to coat evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
  3. Gradually pour in the beef broth, heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until it thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the sirloin steaks on serving plates and spoon the mushroom gravy over the top. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
