Ingredients
  • 1 lb (450g) large prawns (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp (42g) unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp (14 g) olive oil
  • 2 tbsp (8 g) fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp (15 g) fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for garnish
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons (28g) of butter over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the prawns to the skillet in a single layer. Season them with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side or until the prawns turn pink and opaque. Avoid overcooking, as prawns can become tough.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds or until fragrant. Be careful not to let it brown.
  4. Once the prawns are cooked, reduce the heat to low and add the remaining 1 tablespoon (14g) of butter to the skillet. Squeeze the fresh lemon juice over the prawns and stir gently to combine. This will create a luscious garlic butter sauce. Sprinkle parsley over the prawns and garnish with lemon wedges.
