Instructions
-
Preheat a panini press or grill pan over medium heat.
-
Start assembling the paninis. Take a slice of Cuban bread and spread a thin layer of mustard on one side. Layer 2 slices of Swiss cheese, 3 slices of ham, 4 slices of roast pork, a few slices of dill pickles, and another 2 slices of Swiss cheese on top of the mustard. Then place another slice of Cuban bread on top to close the sandwich. Lightly spread softened butter on the outside of the sandwich. Use the same method to make another Panini sandwich.
-
Place the Cuban Panini on the preheated panini press, close the lid, and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and golden brown, and the cheese melts. (If using a grill pan, place a heavy skillet on top of the sandwich to press it down. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.)
-
Once cooked, remove the panini from the press or grill pan and let it cool for a minute before slicing. Serve the Cuban paninis hot, and enjoy the delicious blend of flavors!
