Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup (42g) chocolate chips
  • Whipped cream
  • Fresh berries
  • Dry Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cup (180g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup (28g) cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp (14g) baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) salt
  • Wet Ingredients:
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup (240g) milk
  • 1/4 cup (56g) unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp (4g) vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Start by preheating the waffle maker.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients and make sure they are thoroughly mixed.
  3. In another bowl, blend all the wet ingredients until they are fully combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips at this stage.
  5. Lightly grease your waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Close the lid and cook until the waffles are crispy and browned.
  6. Carefully remove the chocolate waffles from the iron. Place them on a serving plate. Top your chocolate waffles with whipped cream and fresh berries. You can also drizzle them with maple syrup, dust with powdered sugar, or add a scoop of ice cream.
